One of the greatest advantages of engineered hardwood is the ability to install it using various methods. Unlike solid hardwood, engineered hardwood does not need to be nailed to a wood sub-floor. Due to its moisture resistant qualities, most engineered floors can be nailed, stapled, glued down or floated over a wide variety of subfloors and even concrete.
As with all flooring, engineered flooring is better suited for some areas over others. It can be installed in kitchens, living areas, bathrooms and basements, as long as heavy moisture is not present.
